Varalakshmi Vratham – Friday 20 August 2021 (Online Pooja Only)

Sri Vakrathunda Vinayagar Temple will be celebrating Varalakshmi Vratham with a vilakku pooja (lamp pooja) on Friday 20 August 2021, commencing at 7:00pm. 

Goddess Varalakshmi, known as the divine controller of wealth, courage, wisdom and fertility, is worshipped during this festival by devotees to receive Her blessings. Performing Varalakshmi pooja is said to be equivalent to worshipping all eight different forms of Goddess Lakshmi. 

Devotees are invited to participate in the vilakku pooja for $50, please contact the Temple Office to book or follow the link below. Please also ensure that you bring your own kuthu vilakku and tray. 

5:45pm Abhishekam for Goddess Abirami 

6:15pm Daily pooja 

7:00pm Varalakshmi Kumba pooja followed by Thiru vilakku pooja, Thora Granthipooja and Deeparathanai 

8:30pm Prasatham distribution
